Better Connections for Public Relations Professionals

If you are looking to expand and bring more attention to your brand, try Constant Contact! This is a free mobile and online app that can help any profession, but specifically Public Relations professionals. With Constant Contact, you can connect social media accounts and establish email campaigns with ease. If you seem to struggle with the right words to speak in your email, with Constant Contact, you can simply type in a few key words and the app creates a draft for you. You would then review the draft, make changes and distribute.

With social media accounts, you would add the particular social media accounts that you desire to be a part of the platform, then connect them so that you can unify posts, or post individually to each account if you desire. Features such as these are extremely valuable to public relations professionals as they add an element of automacy and it can be done seamlessly across different avenues.

The app has a 30-day free trial for most of the elements that are added. In the beginning of developing a profile, you are asked to add certain criteria to the account. Website and live chat were free, but upon adding more tasks to be tracked and managed, it offers a 30-day free trial. At the end of the trial, there are three reasonable paid offers that allow you to get the experience you desire from Constant Contact.

The best thing I’ve found about Constant Contact is that it allows easy tracking of email distribution, you are able to create events, there are sign up forms, and automation of activities. This app boasts to be an amazing tool and one stop shop for business professionals who want to maximize work efforts, but spend little time doing it.

The element that I have identified that I don’t like about the app is that it does not span across ALL the social media platforms. Constant Contact connects with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn but there is not a connection to X (Twitter) and X has proven to be a reliable source of sharing brief pieces of information to the public. We have seen it in the entertainment and political arena where people can simply “retweet” a post and it goes viral instantly. That would certainly be a great element to add to the Constant Contact family of social media accounts.

The Constant Contact app can be used on a mobile device as well as a computer. It is noted, however, that the app’s functionality and visibility is much better on the computer. They directly note “use your computer for a full experience”, to inform users that a mobile device will limit functionality.
