BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL I am the youngest of three girls and proud graduate of Florida State University. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from FSU, then moved to Orlando where my boyfriend and I purchased a home, got married and started a family consisting of three wonderful boys. I enjoyed an 18-year career at SunTrust Bank (now Truist) as a Project and Marketing Manager until my 13-year old son was diagnosed with cancer and I stopped working to care for him in Gainesville. Now seven years into remission, he is doing so much better but I did not particularly want to go back to the corporate world, so I began substitute teaching and absolutely loved it, so my career focus moved to  Education. 

I have been a high school teacher for six years and I marvel at the positive impact I am making on my students, but there are many stressful factors that go along with teaching. I feel I have given all I can give to the classroom and now with my mind on exiting the field of education, I began my journey of earning a Masters Degree in Public Relations from Full Sail University. I chose Public Relations because through my entire career and undergraduate school, I have always exhibited wonderful communication skills.  My professionalism and dedication to my tasks allows me to excel in all I do. I believe my background in Psychology, Marketing, and Management have prepared and motivated me to successfully complete my masters program and begin the next chapter of my life as a Public Relations professional.
